What makes B&B Walvisch so special?

From former inn to comfortable residence

A night in B&B Walvisch promises you an enjoyable stay in an authentic residence with a warm atmosphere. The guestrooms are new installed with all modern comfort. Each room disposes of great boxspring bed and a private bathroom with a bath or shower, sink and toilet.
Bed and breakfast ‘Walvisch’ is situated in a quiet area in the mediaevel heart of Bruges nearby the fishmarket and with a view on canals with the only city harbour. The ideal base to discover our beautiful city and yet very quiet.
The residence has a spacious and sunny garden and in the back of this garden there is a big wall that is a remnant of the ancient and lost convent called ‘Magerzo’.
This recently renovated residence used to be an inn, known as ‘De Walvisch’ (meaning Whale). You can still see a stone relief of a spermwhale above the frontdoor in the stepped gable

B&B Walvisch likes to spoil their guests

We have a beautiful garden and livingroom at your disposal where you can enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of coffee by the fireplace and read a book from our library. We have chosen for a personal service and atmosphere. This is why we have chosen to replace the televisions by quick WiFi and extended library.

To start your day we offer you a delicious breakfast which is included in the price. We offer you homemade jam, chocolate paste, cheese, ham, croissants, fresh orange juice... This breakfast is served in the diningroom with a view on the cityharbour.
